Why I want to start this blog

Hi everyone!

Well I have always thought I would never start a blog because I simply would neglect it or maybe that no one would care to read it! LOL But recently I've found how much I love to read my friends blogs, I feel connected with people that I sometimes feel I don't talk to enough. So I thought for those of you who maybe feel that way about me or live miles away but would like to be closer it would help!
A little about me ...My name is Katie Jayne Bourque and my boyfriend is Preston D Montalvo (he does not have a middle name just an initial) we live in Salt Lake City UT, in an apartment owned by a lawyer that Preston has worked for since he was in high school. We also have a son (don't mock me about that) his name is Otis Rascal Montalvo and he is a 10 month old puggle, he was my Christmas/Birthday present and we love him so much! I work for a womens retail clothing store called New York & Company, technically I've worked for the company for 5 years, since I was 18, I left a total of 3 times to try different avenues but somehow I always find my way back. I am a licensed cosmetologist, I graduated from Paul Mitchell the School SLC and it was two of the best years of my life! In fact it was so great that the disappointment I experienced in a real salon was what led me back to retail, I don't know if and when I will try it again in a salon but it will have to wait because right now I am helping to support my boyfriend through college. Preston is a full time student at the University of Utah he is working towards his masters in Chemical Engineering, he is so incredibly driven and talented that the school actually pays him to finish his degree and pays for the majority of his tuition, I am so proud of him and can't wait for the day when his thesis is complete!
Preston and I will have been together 5 years this October and everyday I count my blessings for the wonderful relationship we have, some girls need prince charming but I need a comedian, not a day goes by that Preston doesn't have me rolling on the floor with laughter even if I am trying to be mad at him!
